ITINERARIES CASTEL SANT'ANGELO
The Castel Sant'Angelo (or Size Adriana or "Castellum Crescentii" in the X-XII sec.) is a roman monument,
situated on the skillful side of the Tevere, in front of "Pons Aelius" (actual Sant'Angelo bridge) to
little distance from Vatican, in the rione of Village.Begun from Adrian emperor in the 135 which its funeral mausoleo, inspiring itself by the complete mausoleo of Augusto, was completed from Devout Antonino in the 139. It was constructed in front of Campo Marzio to which it was joined from a bridge purposely constructed, the Bridge Helium.
